Francis also aired his view that homosexual people are God’s children and that they have the right to be in a family.

According to Reuters, the pope expressed his support for the said union while being interviewed for the feature-length documentary “Francesco” by Oscar-nominated director Evgeny Afineevsky that debuted recently.
The New York Times likewise reported that Francis reiterated his view that gay people are God’s children and he stood up for that.
Homosexual people have the right to be in a family. They are children of God,” Francis said.
You can’t kick someone out of a family, nor make their life miserable for this. What we have to have is a civil union law; that way they are legally covered,” he stated.According to the Associated Press, the documentary film which premiered at the Rome Film Festival features fresh interviews with the pontiff.
It tackles issues the pope cares about most, including the environment, poverty, migration, racial and income inequality, and the people most affected by discrimination.
